The EAWC is a Club that takes great pride in the Whippet as not just a show dog but a breed that makes a wonderful pet and working companion.

There is so much fun you can have when you own a Whippet, Lure Coursing, Racing, Agility, Obedience, Showing, Rabbiting, such is the versatility of the breed.

Obedience and the Whippet, two words that some of us have trouble putting together, but with the huge introduction of reward based training in the dog training world many breeds including Whippets are now taking part in competitions and award schemes.

Our fun competitions are aimed at encouraging not only obedience wannabes but also show dogs and oversize/older Whippets to join in the day and have some fun.

Classes:

Pre- Beginner:

To compete in Pre-Beginners a handler or dog  must not have won a first prize in either Pre- Beginners or Beginners nor gained a third place or above in any other class.

Beginner:

To compete in Beginners a handler or dog must not have won a total of two or more first prizes in Beginners class, or one first prize in any other Obedience class (Pre-Beginners excepted)

Novice:

For dogs that have not won two First prizes in obedience (Pre- Beginners and Beginners excepted)
